With more than 25 years of experience in the group insurance industry, Michel Simard will bring his exceptional expertise to Assumption Life's management team and group insurance line of business.

Trained as an actuary and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, Michel has had a distinguished career to date, during which he has held various positions of responsibility within a reinsurance company. Prior to joining Assumption Life, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Market Development, since 2019, where he was responsible for generating market growth for a reinsurer in life insurance (individual and group) and travel insurance. From 2012 to 2019, he also held the position of Vice President, Group, with the same company.
