Moncton (NB), March 17, 2025 – The Board of Directors of Assumption Life has elected Marc Landry as its new Chair during the company’s Annual General Meeting held on February 28. With over 30 years of experience in financial, technological, and strategic management, he brings valuable expertise and a deep understanding of organizational challenges.
Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Major Drilling, Marc Landry oversees technological strategies and global supply chain management for a company operating in over 20 countries. He has been a member of Assumption Life’s Board of Directors since 2017 and served as Chair of the Audit Committee from 2021 to 2024.
With an impressive career in the industry, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and talent management skills. His extensive experience in business development and organizational management will be a significant asset to Assumption Life.

Changes to the Board of Directors
During this Annual General Meeting, the company acknowledged the departure of outgoing Chair Ivan Toner, following 11 years of dedication to our company. His leadership has been instrumental in Assumption Life’s cultural and technological transformation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for his commitment and vision.
We are also pleased to welcome a new board member, Élise Poulin, a corporate director and lawyer with over 35 years of experience. Her legal and strategic expertise will further enhance the board’s capabilities.
Additionally, Alain Bossé and Denis LeBlanc have had their mandates renewed for a three-year term, ensuring valuable continuity in our governance.
