Client Accounts

Clients must complete the registration process themselves – advisors cannot create an account on their behalf. To do so, they will need:
  • Their client number (available in the Assumption Life welcome email or on any investment statement).
  • The last four digits of their Social Insurance Number (SIN).
To get started, clients can:
  • Use the personalized link in the welcome email they received when their account was opened.
  • Or follow the step-by-step instructions in our how-to guide.
  • Existing clients can also click Create Account on Client Corner.
  • Sign in to your online account.
  • Use the search function to find the appropriate client.
  • Refer to our how-to guide for step-by-step instructions, including a section for MGA and AGA users.

Note: clients can also update their contact details directly through their online account.

Documents & Notifications

  • Sign in to your online account.
  • All your documents are available under My Documents in the top navigation bar.
  • You’ll receive an email notification when a new document is added, and a notification icon will appear in My Documents to alert you. 
  • Here’s what you can expect to find there: 
    • Quarterly GIA renewal reports showing all GIAs maturing in the next six months.
    • Annual statements for all your clients.
    • Other documents or communications as they become available.
  • Client tax documents are not accessible to advisors. Clients can find their tax slips under the My Documents section in their online account.
  • To view your clients’ statements and other documents
    • Search and navigate to your client’s portfolio.  
    • Click My Documents in left hand navigation.
    • Browse the available documents and click Download to view.
    • The document will open in another tab, where you can save or print it.

Clients receive an email notification 30 days before their GIA reaches maturity. The email includes the maturity date, reference number, and their advisor’s contact information.

Yes. Within the Online Investment Account portal, advisors can export their client list directly from the search page. From an individual client profile, both the advisor and the client can:
  • Download investment summaries
  • Export transaction histories
  • Download GIA investment summaries
  • Download a summary of recurring payments

Yes. When you switch MGAs, you’ll receive an email with your new username. You’ll then be prompted to create a new password the next time you sign-in.
